Overview

QU GPA is an unofficial browser extension and website designed to help Qassim University students transfer GPA-related data from the university student transcript page, calculate their GPA, and optionally transfer values to the university GPA calculator page.

This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Qassim University.

Data Processed by the Extension

When the user chooses to use the extension, QU GPA may read GPA-related information that is already visible on the Qassim University transcript page, such as:

• Previous cumulative earned credit hours
• Previous cumulative points
• Course names
• Course credit hours
• Course grades, if available

How the Data Is Used

The data is used to display GPA calculations on the QU GPA website or to fill Qassim University’s GPA calculator page after user action. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

Data Collection, Storage, and Sharing

Imported transcript and GPA-related data is processed locally in the user’s browser by default and remains stored in that browser to preserve the calculator data after a page refresh.

Semester references are saved on the website’s server only when the user voluntarily:

• Registers or signs in to an account on the QU GPA website; and
• Presses the Save as Reference (حفظ كمرجع) button.

Using the calculator, importing the transcript, or signing in does not by itself save semester references on the server. Saving is an optional action controlled by the user.

When the user chooses to save, the website stores a reference for each completed semester, including the semester code, semester name, GPA, and GPA scale. Full course details are not included in the saved reference.

Saved references are used to compare future GPA results with the previously saved values and alert the user if a semester GPA changes, including changes that may result from a technical error, so the user can review the issue and notify Qassim University when appropriate.

QU GPA does not sell saved GPA references or share them with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

The extension is intended to run only on the pages required for its GPA transfer and calculation features:

• The student transcript page on stu-gate.qu.edu.sa
• The GPA calculator page on qu.edu.sa
• The QU GPA calculator website on ghim.net

Remote Code

QU GPA does not use remote code. The extension’s JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are included inside the extension package.

Security

The extension is designed to minimize access and only handle the information required to transfer GPA-related values between supported Qassim University pages.
